FastRoot Standards of Excellence

As software shifts to an on-demand model, the software vendor is expected to follow similar best practices as the enterprise that traditionally ran software internally. Operations built on tested, well-honed standards provide both the acceptable metrics for IT services as well and auditable, compliant environment.

FastRoot's Security Standard

Physical and logical security is our top priority and objective. The technology we build, the managed service we deliver and the infrastructure we operate are infused with a security standard that is deliberate, comprehensive and integrated into the FastRoot team and approach. Security policies are worthless without standards and procedures that are understood, followed and measured on a regular basis. FastRoot's ITIL Operations Standard

ITIL is a defined standard for IT operations and services adopted by large IT departments throughout the world. Best practices and systems define how IT services are deployed, delivered and supported. And as the enterprise adopts on-demand offerings from software vendors, the complexity of IT operations shifts to the vendor. Similar best practices need to be in place, and must be auditable. But ITIL, as traditionally defined, is not well suited to a small software vendor, or multi-tenant environment. FastRoot's ITIL Operating Standard incorporates the best practices of enterprise IT departments, but adjusts them to match the unique requirements of a SaaS vendor.

FastRoot's Service Level Standard

As software companies transition into service providers, the biggest challenge they face is adopting a culture that supports a Service Level. Now the responsibility lies with the software vendor to ensure the software runs non-stop, scales to meet the changing needs of their customer, and locks down tight. The underlying Service Level of the IT infrastructure and operations play a big role in crafting the SLA with your customers, and aligning expectations.
